European - Non European ?

When using the new JRE1.4.2 installer I can choose to install the Non-European pack.

What is European and what is Non-European ?

Denmark , Norway and Sweden are European countries

We have a Java Web Start application which gives the following error during start up when using base European pack?

We do not have this error when using Non-european pack?

Can anyone explain?

I will look into getting you the info on the difference between the Euro and Non-Euro pack. In the meantime, I think you forgot to provide the Java Webstart error.

We use iSeries servers from IBM, our problem was that codepade 277 for ebcidec in our server communication was in the non-european bundle

thanks, we have converted to UTF-8 codepage found in the base bundle
