Hi all,

my app needs to create and update a data file, therefore it has to be outside of the .jar file. Java Web Start developer guide tells me that all application resources, such as files and images must be stored in JAR files.

Can I use Java Web Start to distribute my application?

Thanks.

Stephan

there is nothing to stop you writing to the local file system if your application is signed and has been given the correct permisions to do so.

Appliction resources refers to files supplied with your app to make it initially work, not externally created or accessed files I believe.
