Hello,

a customer reported that they have problems starting a WebStart application in InternetExplorer after installing Win Xp SP2.
They said even re-installing the JRE did't help.
Has anyone else come across such problems?

I'll second the clearing of the cache:

IE : Tools : Internet Options : Delete Files : Delete all offline content(check this)

I realize that this is extreme but this is the only thing that worked for me.

What webserver is serving up the JWS application? What is the exact error?

If tomcat, it could be a no-cache directive...see http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=38&thread=442995

You can also have the user flush their IE cache, sometimes that helps. Ideally you want them to set to never cache.
