[JAI-IMAGEIO] JAI ImageIO JARs signed by Sun

Hi.

I am trying to deploy a JAI and JAI ImageIO-based applet as a Java Web Start
application.

My understanding is that a Java Web Start installer is current available for
JAI, but not (yet) for JAI Image I/O. Am I correct?

So, are Sun-signed JIIO JARs available? If not, is there any workaround to
specify the JIIO JARs and native libraries as resources in a JNLP file?
Please note that I need the "" security level, hence all
resource JARs within my JNLP need to be signed.

Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Marco.

That's right, JAI Webstart installer is available, but the JAI Image I/O
is not yet available.

Sun signed JIIO Jars are not available till we create the Webstart
installer. One option that might work for you would be to sign the JIIO
Jars yourself and then use the signed JAR files to create and host a
JNLP file. Note that currently there are issues with some forms of
native acceleration not being picked up with Webstart. This is the
issue we need to fix in order to create the Webstart installer. Details
can be seen from the (same) issue that was already fixed for JAI, see

Bump.
Sorry for being so rude, this is still a valid issue.
