Are the bugs already registered at Sun for JAI likely to be transferred to the issue tracking at jai.dev.java.net ?

We have no way to do a wholesale transfer between the databases: any
transfers must be done manually. To minimize the amount of work involved
(much of which could be unnecessary) we thought to follow this procedure:

* file all new issues in the java.net issue trackers (excepting possibly
certain specific cases such as TCK issues which would continue to be filed on
java.sun.com);
* transfer from the java.sun.com bug database all change requests identified
as targets for a release milestone (the java.net issue would probably contain
a mere pointer back to the java.sun.com bug database record);
* transfer other salient change requests as time permits.

If anyone has suggestions on improving this approach we would be happy to know
of them. In particular, if there are specific change requests already
registered in the java.sun.com bug database which are important to you
we would like to be so informed. This could be done either by voting in the
java.sun.com database or by posting to the appropriate java.net mailing list
or better yet doing both.

We intend to collate a list of targeted bugs in the near future and post that
on java.net.
