I was having some trouble with JP2000 lossless image quality, and decided to check out other java libraries...

When I look at the JAI/IO page, and check my classpath, I see that jj2000.xxx.xxx files are there already!

Does JAI/IO use the jj2000 implementation for its Jpeg 2000 needs?

The Java plug-ins use JJ2000 but we also have native plug-ins.

And then the next question. Does JAI itself use jj2000 also?

Brian Burkhalter

JAI itself does not support JPEG 2000 nor will it.
