I am looking for information and examples about JAI libraries applied to digital imaging filtering and pattern recognition.

I'm particulary interested in an implementation of "maximum entropy deconvolution" algoritm for image recostructions.

That particular operation is not among those that we provide.

I'm looking for open source software tools or examples about how to use JAI frequency domain functions, such as fourier transformation functions, magnitude enhancement function, polarToComplex, etc. for developing advanced digital filtering and pattern recognition in frequency domain.

You might start by looking at the jai-demos project on java.net as well as the
'jaistuff' link on this page:

http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/jai/utilities/jaiutils.html

Perhaps others will post links to there code. If people have functional
examples to contribute we can also consider adding them to jai-demos.
