Pressing the down arrow alone will open combo boxes. I realize that we still need to implement ALT-DOWN, but I don't think keyboard users are stranded. Do you disagree?

Thanks,

thanks
I have seen the bug, but sadly it has been downgraded, since some of the combobox issues have been solved.
I think that is a bit unfair since its a rather important feature for keyboard users,
and i don't think i can convince my users to use the mouse instead

I can only hope the bug is fixed in the next release

There's a project @ http://winlaf.dev.java.net/ which aims to provide a Windows LAF that is closer to the original. It doesn't fix the mentioned problem either, but perhaps, that's a way to get an at least temporary solution faster.

The project has 22 issues tracked (not the Alt+Down key though) and 9 compatibility issues are already fixed (but not marked as such in its issuezilla tracker).
