Applet java.policy file

I have an applet which is a report building tool like crystal reports. For this applet i need to edit java.policy file on client machine.(so that my applet has special previlages.)
Since applets dont have access to clients machine , how can i put my java.policy file to clients hard drive..?

You don't need to put this file on client's machine. All you need - is to digitally sign your applet and ask user for some special permission. User may allow this permission permanently. There is a chapter on applet security and applet signing in the Developer Guide. You may find it in PDF format here:
