Hi -

I am trying to understand the source in the Adventure demo application.

In MainWindow.java I see the following comment:

* WARNING: Do NOT modify this code. The content of this method is
* always regenerated by the Form Editor.

Can someone point me to where the Form Editor code is? And how the code gets to be in the Adventure demo?

Thanks in advance,
John

The forms were generated by NetBeans. If you aren't familiar with it,
when you create a window or panel in NetBeans you can lay components
out with drag-and-drop, set properties, and have NetBeans generate the
corresponding Java/Swing code for the component. NetBeans does this by
blocking off certain methods that only it has the "right" to edit. If
you change these methods manually, they will be overwritten the next
time NetBeans synchronizes the form with the code.

I'm not sure which version of NetBeans was used in the Adventure demo,
but likely it was 4.0 or 4.1.

HTH

Thanks Patrick for your response.

I will take a look at the NetBeans Froms Editor.
