Getting the Icon for an Association

The Association class has the method getIconFileName() which returns something strange and mysterious.

How about adding a simple method like

Public Icon getIcon();

I suspect it would keep most people happy!

This is a reported issue and a contributed patch for that:

You could check it for more info.

You can checkout the preliminary source code from the CVS branch issue_74-78. let me if you found any bugs.

Along a similar vein to this discussion - this discussion at Javalobby (http://www.javalobby.org/forums/thread.jspa?messageID=91819909&tstart=0#...) has brought up being able to get icons that represent states. Is that possible through this API? For instance, in the case of a file browser, it would be handy to get the icon for an expanded folder and the corresponding collapsed folder icon (although the collapsed folder is available through the javax.swing.filechooser.FileSystemView API relatively easily).
