[JAVAHELP] Java Help Serarch

9 replies [Last post]

Hi,

I integrated the java help framework with our application.
I want only TOC and SEARCH navigators in the left side pane. So I
removed the Index View entry in the hs file.

TOC functionality is working file, but I am facing some problem with the
Search.

Foe ex: When I try to search a word I am getting Search results but not
getting the Html page title in the tree index. Instead I am getting the
following character in the tree.

Hope my question is clear.

That was fixed in V2.0 final release which is due out shortly.

Hi,

I got my Search to work thanks to this forum!
I still have a random bug in the search that in the title list of search
results I usually get a title cut off or only one character.
It is very random.
It doesn't occur on specific words or specific pages.

Any help?

Thanx

There is a free JavaHelp 1.1.3 extension library called S7Help
available that solves this and other problems:

My answer was the answer to the question Rivka Hartman.
Your problem has nothing to do with the truncated
search result problem described by Rivka.

Normally full-text search shows the content of the HTML
title tag in the result list, e.g. if your header looks like

...

...
Using the tutorial
...

your topic file should be listed with "Using the tutorial".

Can you post one the headers in a topic file, that does
not display correctly?

In the line

remove the last slash (the '/'), so that the line looks like

then recreate the full-text search database and the title will
display correctly the next time you are making a full-text
search.
