Re: [JAVAHELP] Printing in JavaHelp freezed

Below is my configuration

JavaHelp 1.3.1
JRE 1.4.1
Windows NT

After clicking OK on the print dialog, JavaHelp freezed. Is this a
known problem? Any workaround?

Thanks,
Alex

Does the problem apply to certain configurations (JRE version/OS
version)? Is it possible to remove the Print buttons?

Thanks,
Alex

With JavaHelp 2.0 you have full control over the toolbar.
You have to do the following:
a) add a presentation entry to your helpset (.hs) file
b) make this presentation entry the default presentation
c) define a toolbar without print buttons

Example helpset:
...

main Online Help myicon javax.help.BackAction javax.help.ForwardAction

In this example you would only have two toolbar buttons
(backward and forward).

Hope this helps,

I tried to print multiple pages with JavaHelp 2.0 Release
Candidate 2, but printing freezed also (printing on Windows
to Acrobat Distiller, to get a PDF file; JDK 1.4.2).

Will this be fixed in the final release?

No! Nothing else is going into V2.0. It is in the can and on the way out
the door.

Is there a bug number for this problem? I suppose it only happens in some situations?

I don't have a bug number.

I noticed it several times, but I wasn't able to
make it reproducible and until now I have no idea
under what circumstances it happens.

Unfortunately.
