[JAVAHELP] MergineSearchEngine writes Messages to the console

Hello,

how can I turn off the function, that the MergineSearchEngine writes comments to
the console?

MergineSearchEngine: makeEngine
...
MergineSearchEngine: params:
{engine=com.sun.java.help.search.DefaultSearchEngine, data=JavaHelpSearch}
MergineSearchEngine: startSearch()

I'm using log4j, but that logger is turned off. So, maybe there is still
something in the Engine that has to be modified.
Any idea?

Carsten

Take a look at javax.help.search.MergingSearchEngine:
At the end there is a private static variable 'debug'. It is set
to true, which means, that there are debug messages printed. Both
the method as well as the variable itself are private, therefore
you can't suppress the output easily.

It was mentioned that in October there will be a new JH release.
I would guess at that time the variable will change to false.
