Re: [JAVAHELP] How can I programmatically verify the validity of the helpID?

The easiest thing that comes to my mind is using the javax.help.FlatMap class. It has lots of good little methods for validating ID's.

public boolean isValidID( String id, HelpSet hs );

public Map.ID getClosestID( URL url );

Just to name a few!

Subject: [JAVAHELP] How can I programmatically verify the validity of the helpID?

Hi,
How can I check the validity of a helpID programmatically? e.g. My dialog prompts the user with the helpID and displays the help, but if the user enters an invalid helpID, I would like to handle the error by displaying an error message to the user.

Thanks,
