Reload button

I am using the default helpbroker and I enable the
Reload action on the toolbar thru my presentation
options in my helpset file.
The behavior I see with the reload button is as follows:
- navigate to topic X in a particular chapter
- navigate to topic Y in the same chapter
- selecting the 'Reload' button displays topic X

In other words, whichever topic I navigate to first in a chapter is the topic that gets displayed when I select 'Reload' while in that chapter.

Is this the correct behavior?

Thanks,

I am back looking at this again.
Here's what I mean:
- Load a page thru a TOC entry that is in the middle
of that page
- Navigate to another topic thru the TOC that is
ON THE SAME PAGE (i.e. - the viewer scrolls to
another location on the same page)
- Now hit reload
- The viewer always reloads the page to the location
on the page that was first navigated to when the page
was loaded. It does not:
- reload the page to the current location
- reload the page to the top
which are the only other 2 options.

I modified the newmerge demo to:
- add 2 topic markers in main.html
- add 2 sub - tocitem's in MergeTOC.html (A&B)

Navigate to topic B using the TOC
Navigate to topic A using the TOC
Hit reload
Topic B is displayed

Navigate to another chapter

Navigate to topic A using the TOC
Navigate to topic B using the TOC
Hit reload
Topic A is displayed

All I'm asking is "Is this the correct behavior?"
Someone here in QA thinks it's not.

Thanks,

No, I suspect that something else is happening. I modified the IDE demo
so that it has the reload button. Using the TOC navigator I selected
"Beans in JDE". In the content viewer I scrolled down and selected
"Adding Operations to Beans". This scrolled to the middle of a topic.
Moving to the top of the topic and pressing reload will redisplay the topic.

So, it really depends on what you mean by navigate to topic Y. If you
mean you scrolled down to topic Y then reload won't do what you expect
as reload always reloads the current page. But if you mean you selected
a different topic in either the content viewer or one of the navigators
then it should work.

If you still feel this is a problem you would need to be very specific
on how to duplicate this. How did you navigate to the topic (navigator,
content viewer, CSH). Was the topic in the map file. What happens when
you press the back and forward buttons (Essentially this is the same as
reload).
