Help Manager is not initialized

Hello Java Junta,

I'm using FrameMaker 6.0 and WebWorks Publisher to create a jar file.

After numerous attempts to create a new jar file to replace the existing jar
file in our application, I keep getting the following error:

Help Manager is not initialized. Reason =>
javax.help.HelpSetException:Could not parse
Got an IOException (null)
Parsing failed for null

I've tried just about everything I can think of (for example, starting with
a new wdt file, swapping Frame files instead of swapping the Frame book,
various variations of the above), but obviously I'm missing something.

I appreciate any ideas or information, including debugging suggestions.

Thanks,

Mike Piellusch

You have an error in the generated HelpSet files. You could use a
validator (see the archives) to check the various files or you could use
the hsviewer and look at the HelpSet in the hsviewer.

If after that it works then the problem is in finding the URL for the
HelpSet file. Put another way theirs a bug in the HelpSet creation code
or the code that creates the URL for creating the HelpSet.
