How can I change the HelpSet window's top left icon?
Now it is always the Java Cup icon.

Thank you!

In the

section set the tag to a mapid. I think this tag didn't make it into the JHUG but is in the spec. I'll get our writer to double check that though. Hello,

the recommended way does not work for me:

Taken from the helpset file:
...

main window CPatchWorkbench - Online Help pm ...

...

from the map file:
...

...

The image reference is correct (tested with toplevelfolder).

I've been struggling with this, but have found some more information. I am using JavaHelp 2.0.05. I found that with the version 2 release, modifying the icon is no longer supported: "Icon in Title Bar is not customizable in JavaHelp 2.0" -- http://www.writersua.com/articles/javahelp/index.html

Is this true, or is there just a way that is not documented?

In addition, when I attempt to modify the icon used for a view by using the tag, it does not work. It actually causes a problem where that view is no longer visible at all unless I remove the tag.

Doug, we have been using the presentation tag like the others on this thread for a couple of years now and change the top icon using it...

mainwindow Help logo javax.help.BackAction javax.help.ForwardAction javax.help.SeparatorAction javax.help.PrintAction

Everything works fine for us.

Be sure the 'logo' image is defined properly in your map file, something like...

Thanks for the input. Are you using JavaHelp version 2.x?

I have done as you have said, verified the image ID is defined in the map, etc. To verify, I also tried using the same image I am using for my 'helpaction' (which is working, so I know the mapping is sound). After searching, that is when I came across this statement that it was no longer supported in JavaHelp version 2.x:

...With JavaHelp 1.1.3, there is no "officially" documented way to change the "coffee cup" icon in the title bar (though if you search the JavaHelp listserv archives, there are instructions for how to accomplish this programmatically). With JavaHelp 2.0, there still is no "official" mechanism for changing the title bar icon, as shown in Figure 2 below. According to Roger Brinkley the framework of the JavaHelp Help broker has fundamentally changed, and thus the instructions posted to the listserv for changing the icon programmatically will not work for the 2.0 release. (see http://www.writersua.com/articles/javahelp/index.html).

When I found this, I determined that the posts I had read were pre-2.x, and left it at that. When I look at the version for the org.netbeans.modules.javahelp module, it shows the version as 2.10. Can you verify for me the version you are using? Thanks again.

Doug.
