Hi,

I'm newbie in Java 3D programming. And I would like to know how can I create a face based in some figures like Cubes, Cylinders, Circles, Triangles, to compose mouth, nose, eyes and etc?!

I can create the objects separately but I can't join to compose a face that I need.

How can I do this?

Best regards,

Anthony,

Create the shapes in the scene, and then use TransformGroups to place the
shapes in the correct position. You will need to do the math to determine
the correct placement of the shapes to the parts of the face all line up.

Hi Mike,

Could you send to me a code example to make a simple face, please?!

thanks for your attention.

Best regards.
Anthony

Sorry Anthony,

I don't really have the time right now. I would recommend reading the Java3D
tutorial (on the Sun web site). Note that this is not really a Java3D issue
as much as a 3D graphics issue. If you are new to 3D graphics as a whole,
you may want to start with something a little simpler, or at least be sure
to understand 3D coordinate systems, rotations, and translations.
