We have created a new j3d-incubator project on java.net for community members to share example and utilty code:

https://j3d-incubator.dev.java.net/

Anyone who has a signed Joint Copyright Assignment (JCA) on file can get developer rights in this new project for the purpose of creating simple tools/utilities that on their own are either too small or too experimental to warrant a separate project.

As projects mature they can be moved into a separate sub-project or possibly become part of j3d-core-utils.

Kevin,

Is this for Java3D only code, or for anything related to Java and 3D graphics (eg JOGL etc)?

The intent of this project is to host Java 3D code.

Excellent for my side.

Is it "correct" to put in some alpha like code ?

Yes. In fact, it's use is encouraged for experimental code.
