Dear All,

I use M9, 27 Sept 2004 version.

Several browsers are working in a limited way.

All the functional browsers report the error:
* ERROR: Warning: Error loading USB at: org.web3d.vrml.device.jinput.USBManager
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.web3d.vrml.device.jinput.USBManager

The non-functional browsers report the previous error together with the fatal error:

* ERROR: Warning: Error loading USB at: org.web3d.vrml.device.jinput.USBManager
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.web3d.vrml.device.jinput.USBManager
* FATAL ERROR: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: CreateDummyWindow
at net.java.games.jogl.impl.windows.WGL.CreateDummyWindow(Native Method)at
net.java.games.jogl.impl.windows.WindowsGLContextFactory$NativeWindowThread.run(WindowsGLContextFactory.java:260)

The most interactive is LoaderDemo.
No errors are reported.
The box can be rotated/translated inside the window.

Regarding MobileBrowser, cannot find the following classes in M09:
org.web3d.vrml.renderer.mobile <== in M08
org.web3d.vrml.renderer.common.input <== in M08

To conclude:
1) Please tell me where to find
org.web3d.vrml.device.jinput.USBManager
2) Is it correct to use the classes from M08
org.web3d.vrml.renderer.mobile
org.web3d.vrml.renderer.common.input
for the MobileBrowser M09 ?
3) How can I avoid the Fatal Error previously mentioned ?
4) Why same JAR files contain different classes from a milestone to other ?

Thank you,

Emil

Since this is a question about Xj3D, this is an inappropriate place to
ask questions about it. PLease direct further questions to the Source
Working Group list over on the web3d.org site. The details on how to
join that list are on the bottom of this page:

I just looked over the build files and it appears that we missed this
directory from
the appropriate JAR file build instructions. We'll be pushing out
another dev
release probably at the end of this week at which point it will be
fixed. Until then, you'll have to make use of an earlier version.

Yes. The mobile-capable browser is completely disabled in the current
build. We weren't getting much interest in it's continued development
and we also are waiting for the OpenGL ES Java bindings to be made
public before we continue further work in that area.

These are development releases and not stable milestones. They're
effectively snapshots of the codebase at a given time. Classes come and
go as we gain experience developing a given set of functionality.
