I've been using parts of com.sun.j3d.utils such as mouse behaviours, basic shapes like Sphere, and SimpleUniverse. Can and should I continue to do so or are there preferred replacements. Previously it was said that com.sun.j3d.utils really wasn't part of Java3D, but maybe they are now when Java3D has become open source?

These packages have always been an unofficial part of Java 3D. They are built and distributed with the core javax.media.j3d packace, and parts of it (notably the tessellator) are used by the core. The source code for most of them was previously distributed with the Java 3D download. Now all of it is available on java.net in the j3d-core-utils project under a BSD license.

Thank you. I just wanted to make sure they're as open as the rest of Java3D and I can assume they're always available with Java3D.
