i have a jumpdrive that i use to store my program that i am working on, since i am not always at home when working on the code. The thing i want to know is, is ts possible to get the java3d files as .java, .class or in a jar file even, so that i can put them on the jumpdrive and not have to install java and java3d on every computer i work on, and i can just use the classes on the jumpdrive.

is it possible to get those files like that for java and java3d and if so where?? i looked around and i couldn't find it, i think its possible i am not sure how.

You need some native files. So if you are only working on one OS, no problem.

the jars are in jre/lib/ (or /lib), you need:
vecmath.jar
j3daudio.jar
j3dcore.jar
j3dutils.jar

The native libs for Linux are:
libj3daudio.so
libJ3D.so
libJ3DUtils.so

good luck.

shouldn't the jars be in jre/lib/ext instead?

If your drive is big enough you can put a entire JRE or JDK in your portable
drive and run Java from it.
Of course set/update properly your enviroment variables to help your work, as
PATH, CLASSPATH, JAVA_HOME, etc
