Hello,

is there a possibility to load the classes by runtime.
I want to create an Applet for my homepage, which
uses Java 3D. But if the client doesn't have Java 3D, I want to load the classes from my website...
My problem is that there is a native binary

Is there a possibility or is there a problem with the license?

thx,
dspreg

See http://java.sun.com/products/javawebstart/

I already pakaged an application with it: A cool stuff. If only Sun had not lost
years and years with its stuboardness to keep of the awfull Applet bloody
"sandbox" solution....
java web start is I think easy. And it works fine.
Basicly a XML script tells where thing are (java3D dll and jars, your classes,
your jars, your ressources...).
When a users opens this xml file (named ***.jnlp ) the java player installed on
the client machine runs and it :
- analyses what needs to be download (who knows your user might have been
running your 'applet' already) be it java3D stuff and/or your application
things.
- Display a panel with a timer and (eventually) your application image.
- pops up a panels to inform the user and the possible hazard of your
applet/application.
- The runs your applet/application.
That is all.
