Xj3D + ExternProto

Hello everybody,

I am trying to load an x3d file using Xj3D library. However, my x3d file
contains some "ExternProtoDeclare" and I would like to know if

It is possible to read them using Xj3D as I have always some runtime error
when I do that. Each time is telling me the following error:

Exception in thread "main" org.web3d.vrml.sav.VRMLParseException:
EXTERNPROTO URI declaration not allowed here

at
org.web3d.vrml.renderer.CRExternProtoBuilder.externProtoURI(CRExternProtoBui
lder.java:835)

at
org.web3d.vrml.renderer.j3d.J3DVRMLSceneBuilder.externProtoURI(J3DVRMLSceneB
uilder.java:948)

at
org.web3d.x3d.jaxp.X3DSAVAdapter.startElement(X3DSAVAdapter.java:692)

Does someone know what is the problem ? or does someone have an example
using "ExternProtoDeclare" in a x3d file being loaded with xj3d loader ?

Thanks

F.

this was fixed awhile back. Please try the Xj3D 1.0 RC1 release and it
should work.

Hello Alan,

Thanks for your reply,

But I still have some problems with the ExterProtoDeclare.
I was wondering if you would not have a working example and if so, would it
be possible to see it so that I can figure out what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for your help,

Frederic.
