Ray tracing tutorial

No replies

Has anyone seen good documented code for a high quality J3D ray tracer?
A tutorial would be even better.

I have a copy of:

// An instructional Ray-Tracing Renderer written
// for UNC COMP 136 Fall '96 by Leonard McMillan.
// It was refined for an MIT graphics course, and
// it has been refined further for MV 4470.

Which is excellent and amaizingly fast, but it only supports spheres, and no refraction or transparency.

I'm working on figuring out the rest, but am looking to save as much time as possible because once I get a standard ray tracer, I have a whole lot of new territory to work on.
