At last years JavaOne, the 2D team (or was it the Swing team) showed a cool toolbar that scaled the buttons as the mouse passed them. The largest buttons were the one closest to the mouse pointer (like a toolbar on Mac os X)
They said they would put the source out on the net but I cannot find it.
Has anyone found it?
I dont want to make it myself if someone allready has done it and made it public available.

Someday, we'd like to get the source for these "small" demos up on java.net... In the meantime, you can see some of the code at work in the "Image Browser" module for Mu:
http://mu.dev.java.net

The source code is similar to the smaller demo demonstrated at JavaOne 2002. It's not pretty, but it might give you some ideas:

Updated: I just remembered there was a simpler example in the "old" Mu source base that we demoed in 2002, which did a fisheye effect on album covers. You can find that code at:
https://mu.dev.java.net/source/browse/mu/src/mu/old/ImageListPanel.java?...
