[JAVA2D] distribute a game

I'm just curious, to this point I've only programmed game for myself and in
form of an applet. If I wanted to distribute a game as a package, or
an .exe file or whatever...should I use Swing to program the interface?

Are there any resources which could get me started??

thank you

Hello,

take a look at Java Web Start technology, it's exactly what you're
looking for:

Here's a link to a recent (rather involved) article on this
subject:

Thank you,
Dmitri
