[JAVA2D] Books on 2d programming

I'm looking for info on how to achieve different graphic effects with
java2d. I'm using Hardy's book "Java 2D API Graphics" and it has some
good descriptions of different effects, but I want more. For example,
how do you create the mac os Aqua buttons and scroll bars? I've played
around with the GLF package, and various parameters to LightOp, but
there are many parameters and it's difficult to figure out what
combinations of parameter values will produce decent results.

Any book recommendations? Ideal would be a compendium of effects along
with general guidelines for producing them.

Seth

Seth,

Specifically for Mac-like buttons and scrollbars, you can
look at the source code of Substance LAF [1].
