Hi all! Do any of you know anything about a videoconference interface in a conceptual level? Information about what shall I disponibilize (text, audio, and, of course, video), how a moderator should act, and how many streams to pass in the network (everybody see everybody at the same time, or everybody see one person each time?).
This is a difficult question, so feel free to ask instead of answering!!
Thanks in advance!

Hello!

I'm from Russia.

I'm interested in this theme, because I'm going to write my degree work
about one.

Russian websites haven't a lot of materials and moreover I haven't got
enough information.

It'll be very politely, if you send me some materials about
"Videoconference interface" and if it's possible.

Thanks in advance!

Yes!! Interested is the word! If you could find it for me, it would be nice.
Just a doubt, are you from Brazil? It's because of your nickname (or name), sorry for the personal question :D

I was born in Panama, haven't had the pleasure to visit Brazil yet. Hopefully one day :-)

I'm off on a trip for the next couple of days, so I'll be looking for the document when I get back. Although I might have it in my laptop, not sure if it's going to help you, the main focus is the user interface I make some big assumptions on the technology on the middle. The more interesting idea I guess is how to visualize all the students at a time, and how to represent gestures like "raising" their hand ...

Interesting, I wrote an independent study on such a system for my Master's. It was based on Java, but it was more of a UI design than a truly working prototype (although it was Java Media enabled).

If you are interested in the paper let me know, I have to dig for the document :-)
