VNC 4.0 does not work with Solaris 10 JDS?

I have installed Solaris 10 on my SPARC system and have VNC 4.0 from

When I use a CDE login, it works OK. I do that bby putting this line in my $HOME/.cde/xstartup file:

/usr/dt/bin/Xsession &

But if I change this to

/usr/bin/gnome-session &

and let JDS start, it seems to start OK, but it does not seem to accept any keyboard events. If I start a termainl, I can see the cursor blink when I type, but no characters are echoed.

This all works OK with Solaris 9 and the generic Gnome desktop and the same VNC software.

Does anyone have an idea of how to get JDS and VNC working together on Solaris 10?

As a follow-up, this guys seems to suggest that he has a similar problem:

"The VNC server I use for remote desktop connectivity doesn't work in the current version of JDS."

I recently installed Solaris 10 on my sparc and I'm looking to get vnc setup. I dont' know much about Solaris 10 yet but how tough would it be to implement something like is done in this post?

The post is for gentoo linux but the general idea is to setup VNC in such a way as it's tied to the xdm login stuff on the system so you don't have to setup anything on a per user basis.
