Can someone post the IP of javaweb.sfbay.sun.com?

I'm hoping I might be able to use the IP since I can't get to javaweb.sfbay.sun.com. (The IP may well not work if javaweb.sfbay.sun.com is being virtual hosted, but it's worth a shot...)

I tried it both here, and at the office, and neither one could find it. Since (apparently) the Maven Checkout target needs this address to actually get the source code, not being able to see the machine is problematic.

But I have to assume someone else outside of Sun is actually getting the source code, so they must be able to see javaweb.sfbay.sun.com.

If you're using a different host, what host is that? If you're using javaweb.sfbay.sun.com, can you ping it and post the IP. If you're doing something completely different, please share what you're doing. If you're inside Sun, can you try the directions given in the FAQ and such and see if you can fetch the source code from outside of Suns network?

I'm trying to follow the directions posted here: https://glassfish.dev.java.net/public/BuildGlassFish.html

Below is the nslookup I was trying.

Thanx!

javaweb.sfbay.sun.com is behind the firewall and you will not be able to get to it. I have pulled down the sources from my home machines without problems so I know it can be done.

Let's try and figure out what is going on. First are you
running Maven 1.0.2 and not 1.1? I'm not that familar with Maven but from what I saw in the build files it looks like it will cycle through several addresses looking for a place to get the dependencies. The external repository in on the list of places to look and ahead of javaweb.sfbay.sun.com. I'm not sure what the difference is between the 2 versions and I will investigate but there is a problem when using Maven 1.1

If you are using maven 1.0.2 then when did you last update the bootstrap module? There were some changes but that was a couple of weeks ago. Did you try to update that module lately?

From the project.properties file in that directory I see that the remote repository is set to:

# List of remote repository
maven.repo.remote=http://www.java.net/download/javaee5/nightly/${glassfish.os.name}/,http://www.ibiblio.org/maven

Is the OS name set properly?

Here's a transcript (mildly edited) of what I've done.

I'm running in a Cygwin shell on Win2K

The maven.repo.remote property is as you mentioned in your post (I did not change it). I didn't want to post the entire properties file as it's quite large, and it's the one in CVS at this moment.

As you can see, for whatever reason, this build has a passion for javaweb.sfbay.sun.com.

As far as the build instructions, I'm basically DOA at step 2. While quite familiar with Ant, I'm not at all familiar with Maven.

Any help you can give would be most appreciated.

OK, I see this too on my windows machine. Let me look into this more and get back. I know that I was able to get the workspace on this machine a few weeks ago. I need to check what has changed in the workspace and if I have all steps documented correctly.

We're still working on this. I thought we had a fix on Friday but I didn't have a chance to test it. Will do so later today.

Been about a month, any progress on this? I haven't tried it, I was waiting for an announcement.
