Are there release notes for build 43?

I had to make two more changes when building with a username that contains a path name:

java\build\hotspot\make\Makefile, lines 357 and 381
BuildUser=$(USERNAME) --> BuildUser="$(USERNAME)"

Finally, a full build took about 8 hours, is this expected? I did a 'make scsl' to start it off.

The list of bugs/refs fixed should be posted to the website soon if it isn't already there, I'll check into it.

I'll add this to the USERNAME bug, we will try and make this better.

I'd need to know more about the machine you are using, e.g. CPU, RAM, etc.
The 'make scsl' will build both a product and a fastdebug build, so you can cut the time roughly in half by skiping the fastdebug build. The machine I use is 2+GHz 2GB RAM and I can build the product in under an hour, but it's a relatively fast and new machine.

Also, if you have realtime virus protection on, that can slow your machine down quite a bit.

I am not sure we have specific release notes for build b43 alone.

Following URL should give you the list of changes went in for each builds.

I think you ran into this bug.

Congratulations. I am glad that, you are able to complete the build successfully. Build timing is mostly depends on the system that you are using for your build. On my P IV PC with 512MB RAM system, I need 50 – 60 mins only.

Can you give us more information about the issue or general feedback on building JDK?.

Thanks,
