Looking at http://community.java.net/jdk/ we should have a link on the left hand-side showing all new features scheduled for Mustang.

There has been a lot of noise made about how Mustang will improve Java Webstart in leaps and bounds. I'd like to believe this is true but as far as I can see this is just hype. Short of changing the security certificate dialog (come on guys, changing a GUI isn't an expensive operation -- at least from an implementation point of view), I don't see what else is changing.

So please, prove me wrong. What else is coming down the pipe for Java Webstart and overall deployment problems?

Thanks,
Gili

Hi Gill,

For upcoming deployment features in Mustang, you may want to check out this page:

http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/J2SE/Desktop/mustang/ind...

There will be a lot of deployment related changes in the upcoming Mustang b36/b38/b39, and we will announce them once the features are available in the Mustang snapshot. Stay tuned.

Hi Stanley,

The page you linked to is *exactly* what I am looking for. Any possibility of us linking to it off http://community.java.net/jdk/ ?

Thanks,
Gili
