The last installer screen allows viewing the README file. If the checkbox is marked, IE is opened, ignoring the setting for default browser (Firefox in my case).
If you are using standard html all those browsers will work fine.
This is by design.
If we get into using the Default Browser, then we have to support all potential types of Browsers like Opera, Mozilla, Netscape, which all have different ways of launching.
You will find that most installers will always launch IE to show the readme.
Isn't it as simple as looking up Registry value for launching files of type *.html and then running the corresponding command?
You can execute "start.exe foo.html".
This will open the foo.html file in the default browser (e.g. Firefox)
