Is the reboot really necessary on Windows? Up until 4-5 builds ago, the installer didn't ask to reboot the system.
We did not change anything in Mustang that would make it always need a reboot. The installer detects if you system needs a reboot, even if the system needs a reboot from something else that was done. This is because of an msi limitation that we needed to workaround. In most cases the java installers do not need a reboot.
We are looking into changing it so it will ask for a reboot less in the near future.

That sounds wierd, it may be a bug, I have forwarded
