HP donates Web services management specs to Apache

Hewlett-Packard recently donated implementations of three OASIS Web services management specifications to the Apache Software Foundation: Management Using Web Services, the Web Services Resource Framework and Web Services Notification. Currently on the Apache Incubator, the three specifications are part of a family of standards that are referenced by the recently ratified WSDM 1.0 specification.

So, what do people think about this set of specifications? Do you think they are going to get more adoption than the WS-MAN specs? Do you even follow the Management spec space?

I personally (not Sun's position!) think that, although HP has credibility in the management space, MS's backing for WS-MAN means that anybody trying to interact with MS will need to implement WS-MAN, and nobody wants to implement two stacks if they can avoid it...
