You don't decompress jdk-6_0-ea-src-b13-jrl-18_nov_2004.jar, you run it. For example, with

$ java -jar jdk-6_0-ea-src-b13-jrl-18_nov_2004.jar

That will bring up the Java Research License for you to click "ACCEPT" on (or "DECLINE"). When you accept the license, the sources will be extracted onto your machine.

There's a whole forum for discussions of the Mustang snapshots.
