But "Auto comment" is missing

The new editor infrastructure? I couldn't care less. I can handle stand-alone programming editors just fine. Editing is not what makes me use an IDE. Integrated tools are.

In their infinite wisdom the netbeans programmers decided to remove a very useful tool, the "auto comment" tool. Because "at some time in the future" the new editor infrastructure should (but currently doesn't) support tighter integration of javadoc editing.

Thank you very much :-( I went back to 5.5.1 because of this.

Tags visible in CVS History

We use tags to track releases, so it's pretty important.

One thing I DONT particularly like is the native (gnome) look and feel on Linux. The fonts are too big and the menus too slow on low-end machines. Luckily it's easy to turn off, but I had to do some digging to figure it out.
