Hi,

I'm trying to add website content to the project with an "SCM Website Hook".
On adding it tells me:

"My extension is invalid"
"Basedirectory is invalid"

Can somebody post an example on how it should be done?

Questions I need answers to in this example:
- what is this "invalid extension" they are referring to?
- the basedirectory points to a directory within this projects Subversion repo
(as in: "https://svn.java.net/svn/msrp~svn/trunk/www") where the site-content
can be found (index.html and the like). What is wrong about that?

Thanks in advance,
Tom.

From the Kenai issue:
The basedirectory in that case should be /trunk/www (just the base relative to the root of the repository, not the full URL to the directory)

Once that is fixed, both errors will go away.

Yes, works like a charm.

Thanks,
Tom.

I have filed a bug for you at http://kenai.com/jira/browse/KENAI-3433 .

Please make sure you have followed the requirements outlined at http://java.net/projects/help/pages/SCMWebsiteHooks and add any pertinent information to the bug as needed.

Thanks very much for filing the bug-report.
I'm not registered at kenai.com so can't add to the report...

What did get my attention though is that this forum shipped your comment
to my old email address.
Checked the email header and my profile settings in java.net and the comment should've
been sent to my gmail account (not massxess.nl). Is there a discrepancy in
databases somewhere between java.net, JIRA and forum system?

Thanks,
Tom.

Hi Tom,

I just filed another bug about that - http://java.net/jira/browse/ABOUT-149

Do you remember how long ago you updated your email address?

This site is really two completely separate entities tied together by the template we use. The CMS half pulls user data from the forge half, and apparently an update failed somewhere. Thanks for pointing it out.

Random java.net trivia - you can tell which half of the site you're on by looking at the favicon in your browser. If it's three orange bars, you're on the forge (Kenai platform) half, and if it's the Java brand cup and steam logo, you're on the CMS half.

Thanks again for taking the trouble of issuing a bug report.

Regrettably, I don't have that change in my archives any more but it is at least 1-2 years ago (if not longer).

Thanks,
Tom.

Hi Tom,

We have updated your email on the CMS side to reflect your correct address and closed the issue.
