Certificate wrong for mercurial repository

I tried to clone my newly created mercurial repository with:

hg clone https://hg.java.net/hg/simplestub~hg

but received the error:

abort: hg.java.net certificate error: certificate is for www.java.net (use --insecure to connect insecurely)

Obviously, I can just follow the suggested workaround, but doesn't that defeat the whole idea of using certificates?

Thanks, Tonya. That link takes me to the bug you filed for the wiki edit problem. I did a search and found the certificate bug as issue KENAI-3418, but I cannot get a URL to go there.

Oh, weird. Yeah, I can get to it through the bugs I've assigned, but the URL is the same as bug 3414.

The support team is looking into it. Regardless, the bug was filed and the higher-ups know it's there. Hopefully they'll sort out the URL soon enough, too.
