Hi,
As per the java doc and Spec the API TimeShiftProperties.getNetworkInterface(true) should return a special network interface which should not be part of NetworkInterfaceManager.getNetworkInterfaces(), if the presenting service is recorded or TSB enabled.
The current implementation of RI returning null for the special networkinterface.
Is null is a valid special NI in this case since it's not part of the NetworkInterfaceManager.getNetworkInterfaces()? or it's in complete implementation in RI ?
Can any one clarify this.

It's incomplete implementation in the RI.
As per the release notes, the RI doesn't currently provide time-shifted application support, as described in GEM DVR (ETSI TS 102 817) - including time-shifted section delivery (which is enabled via TimeShiftProperties.getNetworkInterface(true)).

Is there any plan to support this in future?

It is a low-priority item in our work backlog.
