There is a parameter in mpeenv.ini OCAP.eas.ignore.power.mode.changes. Based on this parameter, EAS is monitored even in stand-by. When a details channel EAS comes, ServiceContext.select is called. Shoudln't there be no A/V while in standby? What is the reason behind this feature?

This was a feature request to allow the RI to continue to monitor EAS even when in low power mode. See http://java.net/jira/browse/OCAP_RI-393 and the 10/May/11 07:58 AM comment for more details.
