Hi,

We provide a feature to post data on user's facebook wall. We are using LWUIT's HTMLComponent and oAuth API's. The login page is displayed , on entering the credentials it shows the application request page where the user has to allow this application to post on the wall etc.

This page is not displayed fully - The line "j2metestapp is requesting permission to do the following " followed by a ling blank space. After the blank space it shows - "By proceeding you agree to the j2metestapp Terms of service and PrivacyPolicy. ReportApp". The middle section is left blank .

Any reason why the full page is not rendered , I am testing this on Nokia E72.

Hi,

You need to collect HTML from that page (probably with logging in HTML component) and post it here.

I am not able to get the entire html but these are some of the parsing errors -

http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtmlDescription - Attribute 'xmlns' is not supported for tag 'html'. Supported attributes: dir

Attribute 'name' is not supported for tag 'meta'. Supported attributes: content,http-equiv

The tag 'noscript' is not supported in XHTML-MP 1.0

Tag - tableAttribute - cellspacingValue - 0 Description - Attribute 'cellspacing' is not supported for tag 'table'. Supported attributes: border, class,id,style, title, xmlns, xml:lang

On Nokia E63 I can see the full page ( without Allow / Disallow buttons ) , but when I click on Submit button the application exits.

We are very familiar with the facebook OAuth API, we don't need the HTML.

The OAuth signin works fine in the latest SVN.

We intend to release an official facebook API but it has been delayed due to who knows what... If you want to track the progress of that and encorage Chen to "get a move on" you can file an RFE on chenf in the issue tracker.

We launched the facebook login URL in the default browser, there everything works fine. So I guess its an issue with HTMLComponent, it cannot render the page sent back by facebook. Is there any way to get back to our application when the default browser is exited ?

MIDP doesn't support that.

The HTMLComponent logs into facebook reasonably well in the latest SVN version with the caveat of some MIDP devices not supporting the facebook server certificate.
