another one from me,

the JFileChooser will NOT AT ALL render files in OSX lion 10.7 whose filename is in greek (and i suppose -although not tested it- in any non-ISO8859-1 code page).

although i have searched the web, i didn't manage to find the filename encoding used in OSX to provide as much info as I could...

anywayz, thx!

Hello

I checked it with a Russian file name - works fine. Could you give a file name in Greek to test?
Please add any other information which may help me to reproduce the problem.

Thanks

this is the same file i tried -which btw happens to be a beautiful traditional cypriot song-. the second i turned its name into latin alphabet it appeared in the JFileChooser window. once back in greek, the same reaction!

Hello again

By the way,
does a JLabel or any other Swing component on your machine
look good with that Greek symbol inside?

Please provide some screenshots

Thanks

Hello Mandravinos

I created a file named
05 - Αλκίνοος Ιωαννίδης - Κόκκινη Τριανταφυλλιά μου.mp3

and located it with JFileChooser in SwingSet2.
It looks good on my machine, see:
http://cr.openjdk.java.net/~alexp/7133176/ScreenShot.png

The system is MacOSX 10.7.2 with out latest JDK7 build.

What is your JDK 7 version?
Could you please check with the latest JDK bits?

Any other details that may help us to reproduce the problem are welcome.

Thanks
alexp
