I'm still waiting on information from Oracle indicating how to get Java
3D binary builds back up and running. In the meantime, I wanted to let
you know that J3DWorkbench version 3.5, is available here:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/j3dworkbench/.

It includes all the minor fixes to Java 3D that I've checked in and
built since version 1.5.2. J3DWorkbench is a tool for composing Java 3D
scenes with little or no programming. It is composed of 20000 lines of
code, adding value and services to Java 3D--I urge you to check it out.

At some point, and if there is sufficient interest, I will make
available the Java 3D 1.6 current snapshot binary available as a
separate download.

In my packaging scheme, I have separated the common Java-only jar from
native libraries.

You mean on java3d.java.net ? Is that why there's only a pre/experimental version of Java3d 1.6.0 available there?

That would be very nice.

Ken,

Do you have any insider info on this that Oracle may take Java3D out of the freezer, now that it's been there for about half a year. I hate to see Java3D rot.
thx.,
