Connecting Socket for SOAP connection
I'm not sure if this is exactly the place to post, but after reading through a lot of your guys other threads I didn't think it would hurt to ask.
I am working on a java program to automatically update numbers remotely on a cisco server through a SOAP request.
The unique issue I am having is that I am connecting to a folder which is not the top level of the server and am using a port.
The constructor for Sockets is (url, port number), but I want to go to https://madeupsite.com:8443/axl
When I try this by putting in new Socket("https://madeupsite.com/axl", 8443), I fail to connect to the server.
Is there a better way to go about making a socket connection to this remote server?
Thanks for any help or direction you guys can give me.
