I created an applet that is deployed on GF 3.1.1. The applet allows users to upload/retrieve images. Testing a small 1mb file without SSL, the image uploaded and was displayed in 3-4secs. After configuring SSL, the same image took 10secs. I expect SSL to take some additional time but not 6secs. Are there any settings I should change?

I have configured ssl-session-timeout and ssl-cache-entries. I added these in through the HTTP service but didn't see a major change. I also have increased the buffer size. Does anyone have any experience with the ssl properties?

Also, under the listener SSL tab, I have not configured the Cipher Suites. GF states "If no cipher suite is added, ALL cipher suites are chosen." Should I select one of the ciphers?

Thanks for any help,
Jason
