Laird,

I'm the guy who started that discussion. I would -love- to have a GF dev / JTA guru weigh in on the situation.

We have deployed our (still in development / testing) updated XADataSource for PostgreSQL to our production environment. We will continue developing and improving our fork of the PostgreSQL data source, with the hopes of merging it upstream.

Regards,
-Bryan Varner

Subject: GlassFish, XA and PostgreSQL

I wanted to make the GlassFish users list aware of the discussions going on over in PostgreSQL land. I am merely an observer.

I should have followed the link Laird posted.

Based on the thread below, we undertook some work to modify / update the PG XA Driver. It was apparent to me, that it's XAResource implementation was .... it wasn't going to work for us the way it was written, and we don't believe the problem is the way GF is trying to use it.

So, we're working toward a JTA 1.0.1 compliant XADataSource for PostgreSQL.

Input, criticism, attaboys, and help are welcome.
