Hi All,

I need your assistance on automating the startup & shutdown of Glassfish 2.1 bundled with JCAPS application 6.2 on Solaris 10 (Sun Fire 64bit) platform. Below is the command used to manually startup GF from within JCAPS:

root@sydpathgpres # pwd
/export/home/JavaCAPS62
root@sydpathgpres # ls -lt start_appserver_domain1
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 63 Feb 2 2010 start_appserver_domain1 ->
/export/home/JavaCAPS62/appserver/domains/domain1/bin/startserv

However, GF would prompt for two separate passwords. One for GF itself while the other for Master password. I would like to come up with a method on supplying these passwords possibly from a .glassfish in the home directory, or a method to include them in the startup script.

There is another method of launching GF through “asadmin start-domain domain1” on command line but don’t know where to setup the passwords so that they could be picked up as well either.

Many thanks,

George
